My name is Felix Gonzalez the captain of the Solarex Solar Car Team. I have put together a well dedicated team with alot of confidence and very hard working! We are putting alot of time and energy into this hard project. We are learning lots of new things from great people such as Dr. Lehman Marks the director of the Winston Solar Challenge and also One of our sponsors Rodney Spencer. We are starting to build our solar car but our team budget is not very good at the moment. So our team is searching for helping companies looking for a long term exposure on the solar car, team website and more! . Our team was many great sponsorship plans!! The races

One of the races our team is striving to attend is the Dell- Winston Solar Challenge This summer in July 2003, This race extends from Austin Texas to Cocoa Beach Florida. Another race that our teams is desiring to attend is The World Solar Challenge! This is a harder step in our mission. This race is help every two years in Australia.From Darwin to Adelaide some 1,800 miles away, a very hard race but I think with the help we are recieving we can accomplish this hard race.







Teams Goals

The team will learn how to drive the Solar car in public streets and highways

The team will learn how to work as a team to accomplish the deadlines for the car

The team will learn about solar energy and saving the environment

The team will learn how to manage there funds

The team will participate in the Dell- Winston Solar Challenge

The team will learn how to communicate with eachother to solve hard problems
